“My reason for being in politics is motivated by a simple conviction – that we have the potential to create a much better future for ourselves, our children and grandchildren but will only do so if we work together with new purpose, new direction and new leadership”. Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom addressing KEEA Constituents
For 27 years of PNDC/NDC/NPP rule, what we have seen in our country Ghana is a reduction in our hope, our belief in a better future, our bond with our fellow Ghanaians. What we have seen is a divided Ghana, intolerant, disagreeable, angry, disappointed, and cynical. What we have seen is our loss of what it means to be a Ghanaian.
It doesn't have to be that way. Come December 8th, 2008 the bell will toll again for Ghanaians of the voting age to elect a President and the next Commander in Chief of the Ghana Armed forces. Ghana deserves a leader whose priority lies in 6 letters, ACTION. PNDC/NDC led by Prof “Kenya” Mills or is it Kibaki Mills and the NPP led by Nana Addo Dankwa are telling Ghanaians to judge them on their wishes and on their aspirations. Yours truly is asking Ghanaians, to judge them on one basis only and that is on their record, abuse of human rights, abuse of trust, economic mismanagement et al If after 30 years of Government, they’ve not been able to change Ghana for the better they never will. They have had their chance. They have had almost 30 years to get it right. They could not; these men and their Parties should be voted out for a better future for now and for future generations in our beloved country Ghana.
For our generation and our time we must endeavour to bring change, Paa Kwesi Nduom the flagbearer of the Convention Peoples Party understands this, that is why he has transformed his Party from a Monument into a living Party, a Party of the future. PKN as he is affectionaely called is not only a symbol of change but he is change. He is Purposeful, Keen and a Nation builder (PKN). A vote for NDC / NPP is a vote of contunuity of what has failed our people.
Dr Paa Kwesi Nduom is a different kind of politician with a different notion of politics. He believes in the common good, that we all have a stake in each other's lives, that we must work to better all of our lives, that we are all in this grand experiment called Ghana together, whether you are a Fante, Ewe, Hausa or from the Great Ashanti land, we all have a stake in Ghana.
Paa Kwesi Nduom’s strength lays in his detachment from the blame culture wars that exist today. Paa Kwesi Nduom, unlike the politicians of the 1980's through today, rejects the idea that Ghana cannot be better. He believes we all share the same core values that old Ghana instilled in us, hard work, honesty, integrity, compassion, and hope. As a Member of Parliament and a Public Servant Paa Kwesi Nduom has worked with both NDC and NPP, not to compromise the CPP’s principles, but to get things done, bridge the divides, and make our only country Ghana a better place to live, visit and work in. He transcends the divisions, and is exactly the right man to be President at this time. As President, he will unite our country, renew Ghana’s leadership and moral authority in Africa and to a degree the world, and introduce the Ghanaian Dream to those who have lost all hope.
We now face an opportunity — and an obligation — to turn the page on the failed politics of the past, we need to vote to usher Ghana into an age of Progress nothing less. Papa Kwesi Nduom and his newCPP are asking Ghanaians to join them in their crusade to bring the CHANGE our people and our country rightly deserve and have always asked for. Papa Kwesi Nduom and his Party’s vision is clear, and from that vision stems a modern programme of change and renewal for Ghana. Papa Kwesi Nduom understands that after almost 30 years of PNDC/NDC/NPP rule, people would want a change, as it is necessary for the country and for democracy, but faith he has always stressed is required to make the change. It is on this background that he and his team have transformed the CPP Party into a Party of ideas and ideals but not of outdated ideology, brought the Party in tune with the very people it wishes to serve – Ghanaians. Paa Kwesi Nduom’s new and revitalized CPP would want a clean environment with garbage collected regularly, filth and dust controlled and malaria overcome. Together with his team, Papa Kwesi Nduom will build a health care system that is affordable for all Ghanaians, a health care system that will become a pillar of security. Papa Kwesi Nduom has committed his future CPP government to a Research into Cancer and heart related diseases, an enemy that is claiming the lives of our mothers and sisters in Ghana. Under an Nduom led CPP administration, Nurses will be paid to nurse patients and doctors will be paid to get on and do what they were trained to do rather than turning our hospitals into detention centers with them presiding over as Detention Officers. A quick U-TURN from what seemed to have been started by the NDC and the NPP have failed to put a stop to
Paa Kwesi Nduom wants a Ghana where every child has the chance to go to school, a good school for that matter, where they learn to read, write and add up, but, more than that, where they learn and use their imagination. Paa Kwesi Nduom has pledged to build more Schools so that all children will go to schools with roofs over the building, books on desks, equally important, classrooms with teachers, teachers who are well motivated and up to the task of training the country’s future leaders. The standard-design schools to be built under an Nduom led government throughout the country will have toilet facilities, playgrounds, libraries, kitchens, eating place, classrooms, teachers’ quarters, etc. Paa Kwesi Nduom’s led CPP government will be setting standards in our schools and will find ways to improve standards in our schools. Papa Kwesi Nduom wants a secured future for Ghana
Papa Kwesi Nduom believes that a free market economy will be the engine of Ghana’s great progress. It will creat prosperity that will be the envy of the world. It will lead to a standard of living unmatched in our dear Nation’s history. And it will provide great rewards to the innovators and risk-takers who will aspire to make Ghana a beacon for business, technology, and discovery…to him we are all in this together. From Apostle Kwadwo Safo to Herbert mensah, from financiers to dog chain sellers, we all have a stake in each other's success because to him, the more Ghanaians prosper, the more Ghana prospers.”
Papa Kwesi Nduom and his newCPP pledges to Ghana a government which shares their hopes, which understands their fears, and which will work as partners with and for all our people, not just the privileged few. Come join us so together we promote the equal Opportunity Agenda, so that together we stand up and Speak for the Voiceless.
