Twelve years ago today, you left the entire Republic of Ghana and the whole wide world in shock as you departed for eternity.

Many were those who had hope that your peaceful nature will bring real change to our politics.

You warned us that “Ghana will go the way of Kenya” if we do not mend our ways.

As we mourn you this month, Kenya is happening again.

May your prophetic words cause us to reform our politics and move forward with your “Better Ghana Agenda”.

As Head of State, you went on a working tour of Tema Habour and Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) and from there informed the nation that you have heard about the corrupt practices that go on there.

Sadly, the corruption that you observed at those two state institutions has grown worse.

As for TOR, Your Excellency John Evans Atta-Mills, my heart burns to inform you, even though I know you are already aware, that TOR is now Chichinga (khebab) to NPP apparatchiks; they have shared it for private oil storage while the state losses millions of dollars daily from such malfeasance!

Prof, currently some people are saying Ghana will never go the way of Kenya because the youth are timid and will never sacrifice their blood to restore sanity in our body politic.

But, I know that as you are watching silently, you are stirring in the hearts of the youth the most urgent desire to change the corrupt, wicked and nepotistic Akufo-Addo/Bawumia administration in December. “Ehen dze yepe asomdwee”.

Prof, Hon Cecilia Asaga, National Executive Committee Member of the NDC and I, Deputy Communications Officer of NDC Anyaa Sowutuom constituency, join millions of Ghanaians in wishing you Damirifa Due! Due ne amane hunu.
