What happened to all the genuine leaders?

It’s a question that crosses many of our minds often, and it's understandable considering what we witness in society today. The Bible clearly warns of false prophets in the end times and advises us to discern them by their fruits. Yet, even this can be confusing, as the line between genuine and false prophets seems increasingly blurred. The preaching fraternity has, for many, become a stage for imitation and showmanship.

Everyone claims to have heard from God; they boast large congregations, and their crusades often dazzle with signs and wonders. But does that mean God indeed calls them? Does God still call people into ministry today?

If so, how do we explain men of God who are full of pride, those who use their position to belittle others or mistreat their spouses, or those who seem to speak and act as if they know more than God Himself? We’ve heard stories of so-called ministers fabricating miracles, hiring people to fake illnesses only to be "healed" during their crusades, creating an illusion of divine power.

In some parts of Africa, it’s become increasingly difficult to distinguish between a fetish priest and a man of God. Many church doctrines and practices bear a striking resemblance to traditional shrines, and occult leaders are hiding behind the Bible, misleading people down a path far from salvation. Yet, despite the prevalence of deception, there is hope. Stacy Amewoyi’s new book,
The Generals dives deep into the lives and works of genuine men and women of God, past and present.

This book seeks to reignite your faith, showing that there are still faithful servants of God, and their remarkable impact on the world is undeniable.

The Generals takes readers on a journey through time, from the Apostles to the 1600s and the present day, showcasing the evolution of God’s work through His chosen vessels. You’ll discover how God has used men and women across the ages to spread His word, perform miracles, and even raise the dead. The book thoughtfully addresses the questions many of us have today—do signs and wonders still occur? Are miracles still real? Does God still speak through His people?
This book explores great spiritual leaders' lives, highlighting their achievements and struggles.

Contrary to the popular belief that being a minister is an easy path to
wealth and fame, The Generals reveal the burdens these leaders carried as they answered God’s call. Their stories of hardship and perseverance will inspire those who view ministry as a simple route to financial success, reminding us that the call to serve comes with sacrifices and challenges.

The Generals also delve into sensitive topics, including scandals that tarnished some ministries, while respecting the powerful legacies left behind by these spiritual giants.

The book answers many Christians' questions today: Can women be preachers? Do signs and wonders still exist? Are there real prophets in today’s world? How are we preparing the next generation for God’s kingdom? Is there a structured way to train church leaders, or are they randomly hand-picked?

It even touches on the unique experiences of pastors' children, examining whether they are advantaged or disadvantaged because of their parents' chosen path in ministry. Through these stories, The Generals brings together the missing pieces regarding the state of faithful men and women of God today.

If you’ve ever wondered about the authenticity of today’s ministers, if you’ve questioned whether miracles still happen, or if you’ve been curious about how God’s kingdom continues to unfold through His people, The Generals is the book for you. It is a powerful exploration of faith, legacy, and the enduring truth of God’s work through His chosen leaders.
