The issue of ‘Breaking the Eight’ is not going away anytime soon in the coming elections and has become an albatross on the necks of both the NPP and NDC. It has gained much significance, to the extent of its manifestation on the ballot paper of the 2024 elections.
I intercepted a publication where the Speaker of the (8)th Parliament of the (4)th Republic, Hon. Alban Sumana Bagbin, cried out and cautioned, “Don’t Break The Eight.” Since the pronouncement of this statement, I have witnessed many interpretations, but none of them were able to paint the actual picture and weight that the statement carries.
As someone who had the tutelage of understanding and decoding numbers, their implications for time and place, as well as the study of cycles and patterns, I feel tuned to the forces and energies of discernment in uncovering the truth of the idea of “Breaking the Eight” and the “caution not to break the eight.” Following my article that both the Ghana News Agency and GhanaWeb published on 7th January this year, titled "The Mystery of Breaking the Eight, the Unborn Child of the 1992 Constitution," the question we should ask is: What did the Speaker of Parliament FEAR? The statement is a call to those who wanted to break the Eight (8) with the number one (1), to draw their attention to the corresponding effect and consequences it will have on the NDC as a party that wants to prevent the Breaking of the Eight.
What will the breaking of the Eight (8) mean to the 8th Parliament of Ghana? If the Eight were to be broken, what will be the nature of the Parliament of Ghana, its governance, and the economy? These questions will all be answered after I have taken the albatross from the two parties by breaking the 8 Code and its relative effect on the placement of the NDC and NPP candidates on the ballot.
Breaking of the Code 8 between NPP and NDC
If there is any number that symbolizes a “Cycle” among all numbers from 1 to 9, it is number Eight (8). Also, if there is any other number that signifies the beginning of a cycle, that number is number 1. Finally, if there is any number that represents the completion—but not the ending—of a cycle, that number is number 9.
This is why the Honourable Speaker said, "Don’t break the Eight." He said that, with the manifestation, the potential of breaking the Eight is high. The election year is the universal balance of the number Eight (8). In the year 2024, Eight is the answer—the answer to the question of whether the Eight can be broken or not. Eight is the individual figure of 2024.
Add all the digits in 2024, and the result is 8. The NPP brought the idea of Breaking the Eight as their key campaign message, and it gained traction over time. But in my 7th January article, I indicated that a party in our electoral experience can break the Eight to maintain power or break the Eight in opposition. The Eight is just and balances power between the two candidates, bringing neutrality and allowing karma to play according to the earnings of each candidate. It is the sign of natural justice and has a retributive effect on those it beams on or relates to.
After the 2024 election balloting took place, the flag-bearer of the NPP, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, picked the number 1 slot on the ballot, and the flag-bearer of the NDC, John Dramani Mahama, picked number 8. This phenomenon amplified the reality of the possibility of breaking the Eight, which, of course, by our electoral experience, seems impossible.
The secret number in the 2024 election ballot
Before the balloting, certain numbers were naturally attached to each candidate. If you add these numbers to the number that appeared on the ballot, you begin to appreciate the natural communication and patterning of the numbers in relation to the upcoming events of the elections. The number 8 was naturally associated with Dr. Bawumia because he has an eight-year mandate, and number 4 was associated with John Mahama because he has a four-year mandate on his ticket. This reality cannot be set aside in this analysis, as it provides a very interesting angle to the coming elections and may even be a determinant of the election outcome.
Remember that, as I said earlier, among all numbers, number 8 represents a cycle, number 1 starts the cycle, and number 9 completes the cycle. But for an existing cycle or life to come to an end, number 12 is indicated. So, the implicit and actual numbers on the ticket of John Mahama are 8 and 4, respectively, which denote the 8th Parliament of the 4th Republic.
Therefore, you have to appreciate why Hon. Alban Bagbin cautioned that the ‘Eight’ should not be broken. This may point to a parliamentary success for the NDC on the ticket of John Mahama. On the contrary, the implicit number of Dr. Bawumia on the NPP ticket and his ballot number are 8 and 1, respectively.
Bawumia is number 1 on the ballot and has an 8-year mandate. This formation may signify the success of the NPP in the presidential election, with Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia having a mandate of 1 and 8, both on the ballot and in years to rule should he be elected, as indicated in the constitution. The number 8 is standing between 1 and 4, where Dr. Bawumia, who is appearing for the first time on the ballot at number 1, has an 8-year mandate should he win the elections, and John Mahama, who has already appeared on the ballot and won and lost elections, has only a 4-year mandate.
So, the Eight on JM is significant to indicate that he has won an election and has lost an election, and that is the epitome of the number Eight in its highest symbolism, indicating both the experience of life and death, success and loss. The number Eight cannot manifest beyond this projection and hence becomes its own limitation.
To demonstrate this assessment: if you add 8+1, the result is 9. This is a perfect cycle and foretells a new beginning of a cycle and its successful completion. In contrast, with 8 years already existing in a cycle where 4 years have been done, the addition is 8+4=12. If you see the number Eight manifest in 12, it signifies not completion as in the case of number 9, but either death or the end of a journey or career.
It highlights not just an ending, but loss or death beyond revival. These two states play into each other such that from the astrological cycle, as number 12 ends the cycle, 1 begins a new cycle.
Thus, it is imperative that JM and MB may not be competitors but individuals or leaders meant to succeed each other.
Detailed analysis of the numbers and symbolism of candidates
This numerological analysis of the 2024 Ghanaian election is quite intriguing. There is an identified pattern where the numbers 1 and 8 are associated with the two main candidates, JM (John Mahama) and MB (Mahamudu Bawumia). JM has the numbers 8 and 4 linked to him, representing the 8th Parliament and his 4-year mandate. On the other hand, Bawumia is connected to the numbers 1 and 8, signifying his 8-year mandate and possibly the presidency.
In the study of numbers, the number 1 is often seen as a leadership number, associated with initiative, innovation, and independence. The number 8, meanwhile, represents abundance, authority, and material success. Considering these interpretations, the analysis suggests that Bawumia might have an edge in the presidential election, while JM's NDC party might win the parliamentary majority. Lets takes the numerological interpretation and analyis to the next level:
JM's numbers: 4 + 8 = 12 where the 12 symbolizes completion, fulfillment, and the end of a cycle. In numerology, 12 can also represent sacrifice, letting go, or surrender.
Bawumia's numbers: 1 + 8 = 9. The 9 represents humanitarianism, wisdom, and completion. 9 is considered a sacred number, associated with spiritual awakening and enlightenment. In numerology, 9 often signifies the culmination of efforts, but also new beginnings. This insight suggests that JM's cycle might be ending, implying a potential loss or conclusion of his political journey. Bawumia's numbers indicate excellence, wisdom, and completion, potentially signaling a new beginning or triumph.
This analysis resonates with the concept of "Breaking the Eight" (referring to the eight-year cycle of Ghana's presidential terms). Bawumia's 9 could signify exceeding or transcending the eight-year cycle.
Life Paths and Their Implication for Each Candidate in Relation to Their Numbers.
The Life Path Numbers for John Mahama (JM) depends on when he was born, November 29, 1958. The date produces Life Path Number 6 associated with responsibility, balance, and harmony.
On the contrary, Mahamudu Bawumia (MB) who was Born on October 7, 1963 has Life Path Number 7 associated with spiritual growth, wisdom, and introspection.
JM born on 29/11/1958 has the birth day numbers reduced to 2+9+1+1+9+5+8 = 35, then 3+5 = 8. So the Destiny Number of JM is 8 associated with authority, material success, and leadership which happen to reflect on the 2024 ballot.
In terms of MB, his birth day numbers (07/10/1963) put together (7+1+1+0+1+9+6+3) is 28. then 2+8 is further reduced to 10 where 1+0 = 1. In effect, MB Destiny Number is 1 (associated with innovation, leadership, and individuality). This reflected on the 2024 ballot.
This additional numerological insight supports your initial analysis that JM's numbers suggest completion, balance, and harmony, potentially indicating the end of his cycle whiles MB's numbers emphasize innovation, leadership, and material success, potentially signalling a new beginning.
Some Possible Implications of This Analysis
On Leadership and Authority, Bawumia's connection to the number 1 could indicate his potential to take on a leadership role, while the number 8 reinforces his capacity for authority and governance.
In Parliamentary Balance, the numbers 4 and 8 associated with JM might symbolize a balance between his past mandate and the current parliamentary setup, potentially leading to an NDC parliamentary win. To this effect, the election outcome based on this analysis hints at a closely contested election, with Bawumia likely to take the presidency and JM's NDC securing a parliamentary majority.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the numerological insights surrounding the 2024 Ghanaian elections present a fascinating lens through which to view the contest between Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and John Dramani Mahama. The symbolism of the numbers associated with both candidates—1 and 8 for Bawumia, and 8 and 4 for Mahama—suggests deeper forces at play, hinting at a delicate balance between leadership, authority, and parliamentary success. While the NPP's call to "Break the Eight" embodies their desire for continued governance, Mahama's association with the number eight highlights his experience of both victory and loss.
As the cycle of elections unfolds, the outcome may reflect not just political strategies, but the intricate balance of power and fate represented by these numbers. Ultimately, the race for the presidency may go to Bawumia, while Mahama's NDC could potentially find success in Parliament, marking a critical moment in Ghana's political journey.
