This year's admission was a mess at UCC. They sold a lot of cards to get money, admitted more than they can hold, gave a deadline of paying fees as 17th January, but asked the banks not to accept the fees from 15th January. It was a complete mess as parents and prospective students fought bank officials on the 15th, 16th and 17th in a bid to pay their fees. Its all about money from the application cards.

Perfect commentary,
Ghanaian Universities, part those of the public, are wasting a lot of Human Resources among admission candidates. In the first place why should a University offer on the hoof packaged courses for students contrary to individual interest. It’s nonsensical and pure naivety. On the hoof packaged courses are often not related to industry and job market in the country. On the contrary nearly all the Universities dons have schooled in the western world, and they know very well that the diabolical practices they impose on poor students are not what exist in the universities they attended outside. If a student can study Religion at Advanced Level (SHS) and still gains admission to pursue Medicine, why can’t be done in GHana. X
Surprisingly, the University Dons send their own children outside to study courses that suit them and not that of the University desire to increase earnings. Mahama’s government should tackle the reckless university admission policies. Further it’s high time all the public universities adopt Single Admission Application . It’s done in the western world, particularly in the UK which has UCAS (Universities and Colleges Admissions Services). The system helps students from paying multiple admission application fees.
The Universities in Ghana admission application process needs a “RESET” under the NDC administration.
