In this world, there are two things involved: you are either beautiful or unattractive. Regardless of where you fall on the spectrum, there is one thing that all people have in common: everyone on this planet faces problems. Yet, some problems are so horrific that they only affect the Kasongos.

A Kasongo, also known as a Warthog, is an omnivore with facial growths called papillae that resemble warts. It has long, curved tusks that protrude from its mouth. Kasongo has a stout, compact body with a flat, broad head and a long, thin tail.

This animal's entire body is designed to provide it with a variety of defence mechanisms that protect it from predators and unfavourable conditions. The wart-like skin is tough enough to withstand predator bites and claws. Also, the ivory tusks can be used for defence, digging, and fighting. Furthermore, its robust body size and strength make it difficult for predators to defeat it.

According to the aforementioned description, I am of the view that a Kasongo human is a tenacious individual who can weather the storm and roll with the punches. This is someone who can stand firm in the face of adversity, something that the average person cannot.

In 1 Corinthians 10:13, Paul stated, "No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it."

As humans with limited perspectives and understanding, we sometimes wonder why some faithful people suffer so much. The Bible makes it clear that God only allows us to face challenges that are within our capabilities. This means that the more God trusts a person, the more difficulties He allows him or her to face.

The magnitude of Job's problems demonstrates God's confidence in him. God touted him to Satan: "Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil” (Job. 1:8). When Satan questioned Job's devotion to God, God proved him wrong by allowing him to inflict several suffocating problems on Job. In the end, Job proved to be a Kasongo.

You may be a devout child of God who has been battered by life's enormous tragedies on all sides. If you are wondering why God has allowed you to go through the worst possible situation, know that it demonstrates how much God trusts you. You are God's Kasongo! It is not pleasant for God to see you suffer; however, you are one of the few Kasongo species on the planet that He wishes to use to teach others what faith in Him truly entails.

This article does not attempt to answer the question of why people suffer. However, it does identify and acknowledge God's mighty men and women, whom He has chosen to glorify His name (John 9:3). The good news is that God rewards these achievers in multiple ways, most notably and ultimately in Heaven. Hence, not even death can separate God's children from His love (Rom. 8:38).

If you wish to be a Kasongo, you must believe in Christ (Rom. 10:10), repent (Acts 2:38), confess (Rom. 10:10), be baptized (Acts 22:16; 1 Pet. 3:21), join His church (Acts 2:47), and walk in newness of life (Rom. 6:4).
