The 2018 Goldfields PGA tour is expected to tee-off at the Damang Golf Club in the Western Region tomorrow, Ghanaweb has gathered.

The Communications and Media Relations Manager for PGA Ghana, Nana Prempeh has in an interview confirmed that all is set for the competition to begin tomorrow.

He indicated that the event will attract some cracking professional golfers from the continent to compete for honours. The list includes West Africa number one Vincent Torgah, Emos Korblah, Kojo Barnni all previous winners of the competition.

Godwin Sai, Francis Torgah, Stephen Klah, PGA captain John Mawuli, Vice-captain Eric Henaku Ernest Opoku are also some of the big Ghanaian golfers who will shake Damang from tomorrow to Saturday, December 1 when the winner will be crowned

This year’s Goldfields PGA golf tour which coincides with the 25th-anniversary celebrations of Goldfields Ghana is billed to be the biggest ever golf competition in the country with over 70 golfers featuring.

Kojo Barnni of Goldfields Ghana won the 2017 edition after defeating Vincent Torgah on sudden death. The two are among favourites to lift this year’s trophy.

It was announced at the launch that the total sponsorship package has been increased with the winner taking home a total of GHC35,000 plus a trophy.
