Fiagomey wins Tema President's Putter Golf

Tema, Feb. 25, GNA - Alex Fiagomey returned a net score of 65 to win the Tema Country Golf Club President's Putter Championship played at Tema on Sunday.

M. K. Nukunu took the second position with 66 net when he beat J. K. Kally on count-back with William Yeboah placing fourth with 68 net, while E. T. Mensah came fifth with 69 net.

The Ladies event was won by Joy Arkutu with 67 net, Adelaide Owusu-Adjapong placed second with 71 net when she beat Comfort Amuzu on count-back while Yvonne Owusu-Adjapong took the fourth position with 72 net.

John Mawuli won the Professionals category with 61 gross with Baba Akologo placing second with 66 gross and followed by Eric Henaku with 68 net, while Victor Brave-Mensah placed fourth with 72 gross.

The one-day 18-Hole Stable-ford competition which was opened to amateur and professional golfers from the Greater Accra Region was sponsored by Mr Felix Owusu-Adjapong, President of the Tema Country Golf Club, who is also the Majority Leader in Parliament and Minister for Parliamentary Affairs.

Mr Owusu-Adjapong was assisted by Mr Kofi Gyau, Captain of the Club to present prizes to the winners.
