Goldman Capital sets high golf standards

Captain of Achimota Golf Club Mr Mark Cofie has described the sponsorship of the maiden Goldman Capital Ghana Mining Golf competition as one of a kind.
Golfers who distinguished themselves in the competition received Fixed Deposits certificates ranging from 1,000 and 2,000 as well as trophies.

Captain Cofie Jnr., said " Goldman has indeed set new standards regarding sponsorship, and we want to commend them highly for the gesture."

Chairman of the Board, Goodman Capital, Mr Lawrence Dodoo pointed out that the sponsorship was the beginning of new innovations they intend doing for Ghana golf, having supported the sport for more than three years."
It was single handicapper (5) B.Dzarey, who grabbed the men's group A prize after recording 40 points, while Israel Dogbe (40points) beat Asomani on count back to finish second.

Benedicta Yaro, playing on a 31 handicap recorded 45 points to reign in the lady's category, Mrs Margaret Owusu-Baah (42) and Jessica Tei (38) also playing on handicap 5 followed in that order.

P. Abrokwah emerged winner in the lady's group B category with 37 points with Andy Reseigh and W. Haggermiller trailing.

Francis Dorkey left the Course as the men's longest drive winner, while Leticia Amponsah Mensah grabbed the Ladies version.

Jessica added the closest to the pin prize to her collection on the day, with Ibrahim Bah taking home the men's version.

The competition also received support from South African Airways (Tickets) and Mercedes Benz.
