D. Handley effectively clinched his Presidents Putter victory on a net score of 67 off handicap 10 in the Men A Division at the Tema Country Golf Club. The event ended in one of the finest ways imaginable on a course that appeared difficult, tempting, wrenching albeit the buzz and thrills of the day. Emmanuel Ocansey shot a net score of 68 en route to second place off 7 after beating E.K Amezado to third place on 69 off 14.
In the Ladies A Division, M. Owusu Baah assumed a comfortable position at the leaderboard after she returned a net score of 71 off 16. Ama Morgan trailed second after beating Beatrice Vetsch-Bempong on count back with 75.
Marten Cluade got some good lucky bounces for a solid first place finish in the Men B Division. He shot a net of 64 off 23. Daniel Aryee followed in second place on a distant net score of 69 off 25. Appiah Korang finished third on count back with a handicap of 20. Ayivor B.B.K was fourth after he returned a net score of 71 off 15.
Meanwhile, Patrina Galley sealed a first place victory in the Ladies B Division on a net score of 68 off handicap 35. Cherie Hammond surfaced second on a net score of 70 off 34 in the division.
E.K Osei in a playoff secured a cash prize of GHC450.00 for his win in the Pros Division. Vincent Torgah in medley of birdies (6), pars (7) and bogeys (5) finished second on a score of 71.
The Presidents Putter attracted several golfers from Achimota, Bok Nam Kim, Sakummono and the host club, Tema Country Golf Club. Winners in the amateur Divisions received a flood of prizes that included; Trophies, LG LCD TV, Rice Cookers, Blender, Kettle, Microwave among others.
