Lady Capo lifts Access Bank Medal

Tema Country Golf Club Lady captain Esther Antwi swung impressively to lift the second Access Bank monthly medal at the Club over the weekend.

The middle-aged Group A lady winner, playing on handicap 20 beat Mercy Werner on count back with a 77 score.

Young and fashionable Cathy Boateng finished tops in the ladies Group B event after a 76 score, three clear points ahead of Gladys Awuni.

Japhet Achola, 70 net picked the ultimate in the men’s Group B category with FK Owusu Adjapong 72 net beating E. Appiah Korang on count back.

A single stroke separated Teye Lartey Gbebei 68, from Godwin Asem and Afari SK who recorded 69 scores apiece to follow in that order.

It was Vincent Torgah, 70 net, who grabbed the ultimate in the pros event, while Baba Akologo and Emmanuel K. Osei followed.

The first three winners in all the categories left the course with beautifully designed locally made trophies while the pros received cash prizes in addition.

Captain of the club Joshua Peprah commended golfers for turning up in their numbers and praised Access Bank for coming on board as the title sponsor of the well attended event.

Group Head, Business Banking of Access Bank, Fosuhene Acheampong in a post-event interview noted that his outfit’s support for the sport forms part of plans to give back to society.
