MTN boss draws positives from golf

Acting Chief Executive Officer of MTN Eric Nsarkoh has tasked its high valued clients and golfers to apply the values of golf in their various businesses. To him, golf’s representation of integrity and high standards falls in line with his outfit’s values, hence their association with the sport.

He said at the end of this year’s MTN CEO’s golf event in Tema that golf portrays discipline, excellence and all the good attributes you can think off.

“Besides the health benefits, the game offers a good platform to exhibit good entrepreneurial qualities like integrity. Everybody is excited as you can all see.

“The game has never been the same since we decided to offer support, like we have done in football with the FA Cup. The organization has been excellent and we do this to enrich the game.

“Our next stop is Kumasi where we planning a bigger event for this year’s Otumfuo Golf Cup, an aspect of our Ashantifest event,” he added.

Godwin Asem finished first with a stable fort point of 43 in the men’s Group A event, Akwasi Poku, Patrick Tendah and Charles Martey followed in that order.

K. Rosha, 44 stable ford points picked the ultimate prize in the men’s B category with Archur Zhou 40 points and Oberoi Simranjit36points finishing second and third respectively.

It was pretty dark Leticia Amponsah Mensah who emerged top in the ladies event after an impressive stable ford point of 38 to beat ace golfer Mona Captan Lamptey by two strokes.

Golfers who distinguished themselves left the course with prizes raging from trophies, Mobile Money give-aways from Huawei, a supporting sponsor of the 18-hole event.
