A seasoned golfer at the Royal Golf Club in Kumasi, Francis Donkor-Baah has been enstooled as the Nkosuohene of Kenyase Number 2.

The newly-installed traditional leader, with stool name Nana Kweku Baah, swore the oath of allegiance to the Kenyase Number 2 Chief, Odeneho Dadieako Kwabena Nisah at a colourful traditional ceremony, which was well attended.

Nana Kweku Baah, who has won several golf accolades, was installed the Nkosuohene owing to his immense contributions to the development of Kenyase Number 2.

The Nkosuohene, who is an accomplished entrepreneur, minerals consultant and philanthropist, has over the years played significant role in helping to improve the lives of the people of Kenyase No 2.

He has regularly organized philanthropic activities, such as educational competitions for JHS students with mouthwatering prizes, annual parties for less-privileged children, as well as Republic Day parties for widows and the aged.

The Nkosuohene has also constructed an ultramodern hotel, the Octagon Executive Lodge, which has opened up the community for investment and tourism.

Nana Kweku Baah, who was elated during the ceremony, thanked the chiefs and people of Kenyase No. 2 for the honour done to him, promising to continue to transform the area.

He said he has plans to establish an artisanal training center in the area to equip the youth with the requisite skills to gain employment with Newmont Mines and other companies associated with the mining mine.

The Kronitihene of Kenyase Number 2, Osuoabrobuo Nana Konto, earlier told the gathering that Nana Kweku Baah deserves the stool, recounting his good works for the community over the years.
