Handball team prepares for Africa Challenge Cup

Accra, July 21, GNA - The Technical Committee of the Ghana Handball Association (HAG) has invited 44 players made up of both males and females to begin preparations towards the 7th Africa Challenge Cup in Lome, Togo from 4 96 13 August next month.
The invited players in the male division are made up of Jacobs Asare, Daniel Quarcoo and Richard Ankrah -Goalkeepers, Edmond Nii Lamptey, Demitsui Innocent, Ebenezer Mensah, Theophilus Ashong, Yusif Fudu, Joseph Quaye and Christian Nana Yaw 96 Half Backs, Frank Yeboah, Adams Mahama and Michael Richmond Co-ordinators, Peter Amegashie, Rosevelt Okine Christian Balah and Eugene Ahoni - Right Wings, James Baidu 96 Left Wing, Samuel Agyare - Right Back, Frank Mensah, Rufari Abubakari and Francis Asare - Pivolt.
The following comprise the female team: Agartha Adgeiwaa, Esther Agyeman and Patience Borkor - Goalkeepers, Grace Agbozo, Mary Adjei, Eunice Nartey and Comfort Danso - Coordinators, Akosua Dzegu, Vida Apperko, Latifa Larley and Jennifer Owoo 96 Pivolts, Christian Kotey, Donyo Dela, Rosina Lomo, Hajara Mahama, Saliratu Issaka 96 Half backs, Charlotte Tando, Emelia Abbey, Vida Mills and Vida Aminu 96 Left Wings, Adeline Djameku 96 Right Wing and Juliana Bediako 96 Left Back. A statement issued by Mr Saka Acquaye, General Secretary of the Association copied to the GNA Sports said the two teams will train from Monday to Wednesday every week and will be handled by George Bankole Henry Nortey and Angelina Shang.
Mr Acquaye said the Male team would train at the Prisons Sports Complex whilst the Female team will have their training sessions at the Burma Cam all in Accra.
