The 1995 year group of Adisadel College would on July 2 organise a free medical outreach programme for more than 600 inhabitants of the Adisadel Village and its environs in Cape Coast.

The programme dubbed: "Back to our Roots; A Santa '95 Medical Outreach Initiative," is mostly targeted at women and children.

A statement signed by Mr Emmanuel Eduah Offoh, the President of the year group, and copied to the Ghana News Agency said: It was the primary goal of the 95- year group to give back to society especially to vulnerable groups like children who are the future leaders of the country through medical assistance.

It said the free medical outreach programme would cover Eyes screening, Hepatitis B, Blood Pressure, voluntary HIV screening among others.

"Reading glasses and other medications will be given upon recommendations from the medical team free of charge," it said.

The statement said there would be competent and child-friendly doctors, laboratory technicians and other health workers available to support the programme.

"The District Health Directorate of Cape Coast has given assurance of its support for the programme to be successful and has indicated its readiness to provide a couple of nurses to assist the medical team".

It noted that the wards of staff of Adisadel College would also be enrolled onto the National Health Insurance Scheme free of charge.

The statement appealed to pharmaceutical companies, the public and other corporate bodies to support the worthy course by providing drugs and other logistics that would make the goal of the group worthwhile.

"Please if you are willing to support this noble event, kindly notify any of the following numbers; 0208114926 or 0264405922; you may also reach the group through santaclausians95@gmail.com," it said.
