A linguist of the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Baffour Osei Kwame Kantakrakyi has implored managers of health facilities, to adopt herbal medications to improve health care delivery in the country.

Nana Baffour Osei Kwame Kantakrakyi made the call when His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu visited COA herbal Mixture to inspect the factory in the Central Region.

Speaking to the media shortly after a tour of the facility, the Traditional Ruler appealed to Ghanaians to cherish and protect the country’s legacy including herbal medicine.

“Traveling outside Ghana to purchase orthodox medicines is a waste of resources”, he noted, claiming such medicines can have adverse effects.

“This is the time the country should embrace herbal medication, instead of wasting money on orthodox medicines. In Ghana, medicines are imported for hospital use but there could be a boost in local production when an industry like COA can apply research and technological methodology in production to contribute towards the development of the state”, he stressed.

He tasked Ghanaians to come together as one people and fight for development while expressing shock about the categories of COA herbal Mixture and thanked the CEO, Prof. Dr. Samuel Ato Duncan for using his products to save the lives of Ghanaians.

Otumfuo’s Linguist appealed to the government to finance COA Mixture production to boost healthcare delivery in the country and beyond.

On his part, the Chief Executive Officer of COA Mixture, Prof Ato Duncan said Otumfuo had COA Mixture at heart, hence, the visit to Wusorkrom.
