C4C Homeopathic Hospital, a private hospital in Accra, wants the government to adopt the use of homeopathy medicine as a preventive measure for the deadly coronavirus should it permeate through the country’s borders into Ghana.
This comes on the heels of the Indian government’s Health Advisory on the use of Homeopathy and traditional medicine to mitigate symptoms of covid-19 virus.
Homeopaths who are promoting “remedies” to prevent or treat coronavirus have been accused of exploiting public anxiety by health officials.
A Telegraph investigation has revealed that a number of homeopaths in the UK are claiming there are homeopathic “remedies” that can prevent or treat coronavirus.
Commenting on the development, tcovihe Chief Executive Officer of the Hospital, Dr. Michael Kwadwo Kyeremanteng told Kasapa 102.5 FM the efficacy of homeopathy therapy cannot be overemphasized urging the Ministry of Health and the government to consider the idea to prevent the spread of the virus.
“This is a preventive medicine that the Indian government has designed…we share in the vision and the spirit of the Indian government. We believe that the Government of Ghana will be able to adopt it as a preventive measure. Homeopathy is a natural and has no side effect and has no chemical component in it. Report reaching us from India suggests there is no deaths recorded so far in India. They’re able to treat a lot of people and discharged them. We shouldn’t be like the doubting Thomas.” he told Kweku Owusu Adjei on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.5 FM.
