Awutu-Senya Assembly provides equipment to Health Centre

Awutu Beraku(C/R), Aug. 4, GNA - The Awutu-Senya District Assembly on Friday presented a number of items worth 5,000 Ghana Cedis, to the Awutu Beraku Health Center, to enhance quality health delivery. The items included a Refrigerator, 21 inches flat screen Television set, a heavy duty generator, Sphygmomanometers, Stethoscopes and Digital Thermometers.

Mr Solomon Abbam Quaye, District Chief Executive for the area, presenting the items on behalf of the Assembly said the gesture was made upon a request by the facility, when members of the Assembly visited the premises sometime ago. He urged them to take good care of the items, and also execute their duties in accordance with the ethics of the profession to avoid anarchy.

Madam Patricia Antwi, Awutu-Senya District Director of Ghana Health Service, receiving the items on behalf of the Centre, expressed her gratitude to the Assembly for their support. She assured the Assembly of the judicious use of items for purposes for which they were donated for. Madam Antwi appealed to NGOs and Philanthropies to help the Center with beds since those at the centre were inadequate to accommodate the patients who patronized the facility.
