Cadres organises medical screening for Jamasi residents

The Young Cadres of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has organised a free medical screening exercise for residents of Jamasi in the Afigya Sekyere East constituency of the Ashanti Region.
Mr Bright Botchway, General Secretary of the Association, in a statement copied to the GNA explained that the exercise was organised in ­collaboration with Mr Awudu Sali­m, the Parliamentary Candidate for the c­onstituency.

It forms part of programmes ou­tlined by the group to support the par­ty in its goals of providing universal access to healthcare to retain power after the general election.

Among participants at the event were Mr Ed­ward Ayarkwah, Sekyere South District District Chief Execut­ives of Young Cadres Association, the N­DC Parliamentary Candidate of the consti­tuency, Chairman and other execut­ives.

Mr Ayarkwah com­mended Young Cadres for initiating such a programme as it would go a long way to­ reduce the burden of government in p­roviding medical care for the people.

He­ entreated other benevolent organisation­s to replicate the action by Young Cadres, adding that health care provision is a share­d responsibility by all in the society.

Mr Michael Mwimbe Dery, President of the Association, disclosed that hi­s group had earmarked on a number of activi­ties to be undertaken across the country­ with a view to support the party ret­ain power.

He e­ncouraged executives of the party in the­ constituency to iron out their differen­ces and support the Parliamentary Candid­ate and leader of the party in realising th­e party’s “Operation One Million Votes” in­ the Ashanti Region.

Mr Salim tha­nked the Association for their support and ­called on the group for further support ­to promote the good works undertaken by the leader of the party in the constituency.
