Medical Doctors at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) have expressed worry over delay in installation of already procured elevators at the facility.
They wondered why it has taken management of the hospital over two months to replace all broken elevators and other several equipment at the hospital.
The hospital last year took delivery of 8 brand new elevators from Government after management had petitioned the office of the Presidency.
But the new elevators are yet to be installed to aid health care delivery at the facility, a situation both hospital staff and patients describe as unfortunate.
The Director of Administration George Tetteh blamed contractors for the delay in installation of the elevators after several letters instructing them to do so.
He explained that management cannot be blamed for the delay in installation.
