Dunkwa Government Hospital receives support from Denkyiraman Association of UK
The Denkyiraman Association of the United Kingdom (UK) has gone to the aid of the Dunkwa Government Hospital.
The Association has presented 70 Bedsheets, 40 Pillow cases and other toiletries to the hospital. The cost of the donation, the association estimates runs into £900 equivalent of 5,850gh.
In a short speech preceding the donation, the Vice President of the Association, Mr. Charles Afari Mensah said the Hospital is an important part of the community, hence, the Association’s determination to ensure that it is looked after well.
According to him, once the association is active, they will continue to be the benefactors of the hospital that helped that continues to render services to their family members and kinsmen back home in Ghana.
“This is not the first time we are doing this. Last year, we donated incubators and other medical equipment to the hospital. We are always happy to support the hospital,” he stressed.
Receiving the items on behalf of the Hospital, the Administrator of the Hospital and Senior Midwife, expressed their gratitude to Denkyiraman Association of UK for their continued support to the Hospital. Hayford Yaw Frimpong, the administrator of the hospital stressed the importance of the donation and promised to put them into good use to benefit the community.
“We don’t take this for granted at all. This support will go a long way to help the hospital farewell. We shall endeavor to put them into very good use,” she said thankfully.
Subsequently, Mr. Charles Afari Mensah and Mr Isaac Aworinde paid a visit to the Maternity ward to inspect the incubators and other medical equipment which the Association donated last year.
