Ejisu Government Hospital takes delivery of medical items

The Ejisu Government Hospital has received medical items valued at more than GH¢5,000.00 to enhance its operation.

They include blankets, bed sheets, delivery kits, baby sponge bags and toys, “T”-shirts and reading books for kids.

The items were donated by the “Kubi Foundation”, a United States (US)-based charity.

Mr. Kwame Appiah Kubi, the Founder, said it was their contribution towards efforts at improving the quality of health care to the population served by the facility.

He pledged continued support, saying that they were ready to partner the hospital's management to set up a learning centre for children admitted there.

That could help compensate for any loss of school hours.

Dr Osei Owusu, the Medical Officer, said they were grateful to the Foundation for the assistance.

He gave the assurance that the donation would be taken good care of and appealed to corporate bodies and individuals to emulate the gesture.

"All should accept to join in the effort at helping to equip the hospitals to improve health care delivery", Dr Osei Owusu said, adding that the burden must not be left for the government alone to shoulder.
