The Member of Parliament (MP) for Nsuta-Kwamang-Beposo, Mr. Kwame Asafo-Agyei, has procured GH¢50,000.00 worth of hospital equipment for distribution to health facilities in his constituency.
These include hospital beds, ward screens, delivery beds, stethoscope, sterilizers, sterilizing drums and weighing scales.
The items were bought from the MP’s National Health Insurance Fund Levy and based on a need assessment carried out by the Sekyere Central District Health Directorate.
Nsuta Hospital, Beposo, Kwamang, Atonsu, Birem, Oku and Asubuaso Health centres are the beneficiaries.
Mr. Asafo-Agyei, handing the gifts over to the district health directorate at a ceremony, said the support was meant to improve the quality of healthcare delivery in the area.
He hailed the health professionals for the good job they were doing and appealed to them to continue to work hard and with passion to bring relief to the sick.
Mr. Cletus Opoku Amankwah, the District Director Health Director, said they were grateful to the MP.
