Some 375 students have matriculated to study at the Nyaniba Health Assistant Training School and Care Institute in Tema and swore to abide by the rules and regulations of the school and the medical profession.
Dr. Isaac Morrison, a medical practitioner, advised them to be glued to the basic principles of the profession and that they should always remember that their main mandate was to preserve and sustain life.
He said a good healthcare was the foundation for economic growth and development of every nation and urged them to contribute towards a healthy Ghana.
“Always put smiles on the faces of patients and do not to let them feel unwelcome,” Dr Morrison said.
Mrs. Oduraa Odum, the Principal, urged the students to be constantly updated on happenings around the world concerning the discipline they have decided to pursue.
They offered a minute silence for the souls of colleagues who died in a fire outbreak in their hostel early this year.
