Kumasi, April 5, GNA - Peace Herbal Clinic at Ejisu in the Ejisu-Juaben District of Ashanti has discovered herbal preparation that can regenerate hair on baldheads.
The preparation, an ointment, can also remove stretch marks, heal boils, skin cancer, after shave rashes and all other kinds of skin rashes.
Mr Karmar Agyapong, the Executive Director of the Peace Herbal Clinic, disclosed this to the Ghana News Agency in Kumasi on Tuesday. He said when a bald person applies the ointment he would begin to itch at the bald area, an indication that the hair would grow and that it would take two months for the hair to begin to grow. Mr Agyapong has been researching into herbal preparation for HIV/AIDS with the Biochemistry Department of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). The ointment, he said, can also prevent women's hair from breaking and ensure hair growth.
Mr Agyapong has herbal preparations that serve as anti-retroviral for HIV/AIDS patients and has been assisting patients with his reparations.
He attends international conferences on HIV/AIDS and has won awards for his contributions to the growth and development of herbal/alternative medicine in West Africa, the most recent award was by Health Watch International and West Africa International Magazine in collaboration with Prometra International.
The Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) also awarded him a certificate of participation in an international conference on HIV/AIDS.
