Dr Adjei said based on the data collected, government would be able to design policies to improve the private health sector and enable them to give quality health care in fulfilment of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).

The programme launched by the Ministry on July 20, 2009 would provide a fair knowledge of what financial risks the private health sector encountered and how government could facilitate access to resources within the frame work of meeting the overall health goals and objectives.

He gave the assurance that the private sector unit of the Ministry would also be strengthened and resourced to forge the necessary linkages with the private health sector and embrace the recommendations that would be jointly identified for the implementation by government at the end of the process. 21 Aug. 09
