The Lord’s Pentecostal Church International (TLPCI), has dedicated a modern community clinic valued at GHC550,000 at its Divine Healing Centre at Agbelengor-Tokokoe in the Ho Municipality.

The clinic, which would serve patrons at the Divine Healing Centre and the surrounding communities, has an out-patients’ department (OPD), female and male wards, a dispensary, consulting room for Doctors, a toilet and a bath for patients and visitors to the wards.

Speaking at the dedication ceremony, Apostle Richard Buafor, General Overseer of The Lord’s Pentecostal Church International, revealed he decided to expand the original purpose of the Centre, which was focused solely on faith healing of patrons “to include the provision of orthodox medical support for the many patrons who throng the place every year”.

Apostle Buafor revealed that a team of health experts in the Church, led by Prof J.B. Asare, was put together to fine tune the idea of bringing holistic healthcare to patrons of the Healing Centre after he shared the idea at his official induction as General Overseer of the Church 12 years ago.

He indicated that, the Centre also had a modern arboretum, with curative herbs to help supplement the spiritual and orthodox medicine, adding that, “all this is aimed at providing holistic healthcare to the people at our Centre and the surrounding villages”.

“I am happy to dedicate this clinic, which would offer modern healthcare, spiritual and counselling solutions to the many patrons who come from all over the world to this place to seek help”, he stated.

Apostle Buafor, who is the fourth General Overseer of the Church said the clinic was the first health facility to be established by the Church.

The Divine Healing Centre, located at Agbelengor-Tokokoe, in the Ho Municipality, was established in 1969 by the founder of the Church, the late Apostle John Sam Amedzro.

The Lord’s Pentecostal Church International, which was founded in 1961, is headquartered in Accra and currently has more than 100 branches on three continents.
