Hockey: Reformers dare Police Friday

Bottom club of the Dwadifo Adanfo Hockey League, Reformers will attempt a huge upset tomorrow when they face-off with run-away leaders, Police, at the Theodosia Okoh Hockey Stadium.

The tie pits the league’s best performers, Police, who are yet to drop a single point, against Reformers, who have managed to pick up just a point after four games.

Reformers’ only point came in a game against Exchequers and there must be a vast improvement in their past performance, if they are to pick up any points against an undefeated Police side.

In stark contrast to Reformers, Police have been in superb form, racking up maximum points in their previous meetings against Exchequers, Trustees, Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) and Goldensticks and remain huge favourites to continue their winning spree.

In other games in the men’s division, GRA play Exchequers and second-placed Trustees will be hoping to capitalise on any slips by Police when they take-on Goldensticks.

In the women’s division, Police ladies could climb to the summit of the league with victory against leaders GRA in a top-of-the-table clash.Reformers play Amazing Grace while Ark Ladies lock horns with Extinguishers.

In the juniors contest on Saturday, victory for La Juniors in their game against Legonites will see them tied on nine points with leaders Young Financiers, while Ark Boys and Tema Manhea will do battle for three valuable points.
