The second round of Sapholda Hockey League commences this week with all 4 divisions actively engaged.
The first round ended with Sapholda Hockey Club topping the Masters League with 12 points. They were followed by NDK Financiers with 9 points, Multistix with 4 points and -1 goal difference, GCB (GoldenSticks) with 4 points 5 difference and Citizens Int with no point.
Real Ambassadors took the top spot of the youth league with 10 points. Odupong Heroes followed with 7 points whiles Tema Manhean and Young Financiers battled for the 3rd and 4th place with 6 a piece. Ark Boys lie beneath the table with no point and a minus 8 point goal difference.
In the Women’s, GRA Ladies, Police and Reformers made up the top three with 15,12 and 9 points. The bottom 3 constituted Extinguishers, Ark Ladies and Real Ambassador Ladies with 6, 3 and 0 points.
The men’s division saw Trustees, GRA and Exchequers making the top three with 15, 14, and 13 points. 2016 winners of Greater Accra Hockey league fell to the 4th place with 10 points winning 3 matches, losing 2 and drawing 1. Reformers, Ark Men and Legon Knights, as they did last season, fell in the bottom 3 with 6, 3, 0 points.
