Obuasi Ashanti Gold Sporting Club continued with their winning ways in the second half of the on-going Premier League after they pipped struggling Bechem United 1-0 at the Obuasi Len Clay Sports Stadium on Sunday.
The winning goal came in the fourth minute through Bernard Akuffo, but try as the Miners did, they could not increase their goal tally as the visitors put up a strong showing but were unlucky not to draw even.
Though Bechem United were a delight to watch as they entertained the spectators with their good positional football, their striking effort was not potent enough to break through the solid and determined defence of AshGold.
AshGold made frantic efforts in the second half for more goals which failed to come their way until referee S.B. Bortey whistled for the end of proceedings.**
