New Edubiase striker Emmanuel Baffour achieved his 20-goal target for the season after scoring in Sunday’s 2-1 defeat at Wassaman United in the Ghana Premier League.
The 23-year-old powered home a free-kick in the 88th minute with Wassaman having gone ahead through Godbless Asamoah and Mumuni Shaffiu in the first half.
With five matches remaining, Baffour is now two shy off equaling Ishmael Addo’s 22 goals raked in 11 years ago in the Ghana top-flight.
He can become the Ghana Premier League’s all-time top scorer since its inception in 1993 if he scores in each of the matches left.
Baffour has been targeted by a host of clubs including English Premier League duo Bolton and Wigan Athletic.
