Sunyani, B/A March 23, GNA - Kumasi Asante Kotoko played a highly determined game to secure the three maximum points at the expense of Gomoa Fetteh Feyenoord at the Sunyani Coronation Park in their outstanding mid-week Onetouch Premier League played on Thursday. The Porcupine Warriors ensured a 2-1 victory over Feyenoord after both clubs showed indications of their readiness to carry the day. Ironically it was Feyenoord's Abdul Haruna who got the match opener in the 53rd minute for his side with a long shot that easily beat the Kotoko goalie.
Kotoko quickly regrouped in attack and got the equalizer in the 60th minute through a header by Douglas Nkrumah.
Not satisfied with the equalizer, Kotoko quickly made two changes with Ofosu Amoah coming on to replace Prince Amponsah while Daniel Bonfa was substituted for Nana Arhin Duah and they combined effectively but met a strong determined defense of Yaw Frimpong, Afful Harrison and Alex Sowah of Feyenoord.
Feyenoord equally marched Kotoko squarely after Mark Sekyere came in for Jordan Opoku with Dominic Adiyia replaced by Noel Nyasugbor in the 80th minute.
Nkrumah was on target again to ad Kotoko's second goal with a brilliant header in the 82nd minute from a Stephen Oduro cross. Class One referee Emmanuel Mordey from Hohoe officiated the match. Earlier before the encounter some supporters of Kotoko heckled Sports Journalists from the Graphic, Ghanaian Times and Ghana News Agency refusing to allow them entry into the stadium.
The Journalists were Akwasi Ampratwum, Brong-Ahafo Regional Editor of Graphic Communication Group, Ian Mortey, Regional Correspondent of New Times Corporation and Dennis Peprah, a Reporter of the Ghana News Agency.
Even the presentation of their accreditation cards could not sway the visibly angry supporters who further threw insults on the Journalists saying they were ordered not to allow any print media to cover the match as they rained insults on the defenceless media men.
