LEAGUE: AshantiGold 2 B/A United 2

Obuasi AshantiGold failed to glitter in their favourite Len Clay Sports Stadium but managed a 3-2 win over visiting Brong Ahafo United in the Zone A Kinapharma Premier league match on Sunday.

It was Lamine Nasir who opened scoring in the 15th minute for AshantiGold when his terrific shot slipped through the hands of goalkeeper Ahmed Mohideen in post for the George Arthur's team. The visitors however put their acts together and pulled even when Kwasi Boateng's power lading shot of a cross deflected off the body of AshantiGold's Gabriel Opoku Ware to beat goalkeeper Isaac Amoako for the equaliser.

In the 51st minute, the Miners wasted a penalty awarded them when Alex Odenkye was fouled in the 18-yard box. Ofosu Amoah who elected himself for the kick shot straight into the waiting hands of goalkeeper Mohideen.

The homesters however, scored two more goals in the 62nd and 72nd minutes through Opoku Ware and Awudu Ronaldo who came on for injured Valentine Atem before Daniel Bomfa scored the second for the Brong Ahafo lads to bring the scores to 3-2.
