Polo backs Hearts to beat Kotoko in Sunday's thriller

Mohammed Polo has tipped Hearts to put their bitter rivals Kotoko to the sword when the two giants meet in Accra on Sunday.

The country’s version of the ‘El Classico’ will be on display when Kotoko play as a guest of Hearts in the biggest match of the second round.

Hearts have been transformed under David Duncan and looks like a team on form while their opponent has been inconsistent despite being third on the table.

Fixtures involving the two powerhouses do not follow form guide, but the ex-Hearts great believes the capital-based side will win the battle at the Accra sports stadium.

“We always say matches between the two sides do not follow form guide, but on this occasion, I think Hearts have a huge advantage.

“I can’t see Kotoko leaving the Accra sports stadium with even a point. I think Hearts have been consistent in this second round and will run away with the three points.

“Even though it will be difficult against a side like Kotoko, they have the men to pick maximum points.

“It could be one or two, or 2-1. Which ever it is, I think Hearts will win.”

The corresponding fixture ended in a draw in November last year, but many things have since changed.
