Kumasi, June 8, GNA - Brong-Ahafo United serving one-match home ban on Tuesday lost 2-3 to Real Tamale United (RTU) in a Zone 'A' Kinapharma premier league match played at the Kumasi Sports Stadium. RTU started on a bright note and had the opener in the seventh minute through Peter Yakubu who had earlier on missed a chance in the fourth minute.
B/A United equalised in the 21st minute through Sakora Usman from a neat cross from Kwasi Boateng.
United nearly increased the lead four minutes later but Charles Ampiah's shot sailed over the bar.
RTU determined to carry the day increased the score to 2-1 throughm Yakubu in the 34th minute when he connected home with a powerful header from a free kick just outside the box.
After the recess, RTU scored the third goal through Abass Iddrisu in the 50th minute when he connected home an in-swinger from a cross. With their pride at stake, United fought back gallantly and reduced the tally in the 56th minute from a goal scored by Boateng whose beautiful 30-metre free kick sailed into the RTU net.
United took full control of the game after the goal but they could not find the equaliser until the final whistle. 08 June O4
