Tema Real Sportive notched a 1-0 victory over visiting Tano Bofoakwa in their GT Premier League match at the Tema Sports Stadium. It was Bofoakwa who made the first attempt at goal when they earned two corner kicks in the fifth and 10th minutes following a persistent pressure but failed to utilise the chances.
With Abdulai Hamsa spearheading the attack, Sportive repulsed the attack and nearly went ahead in the 25th minute but the attackers shot was beautifully saved by goalkeeper Ransford Cudjoe of Bofoakwa. Both teams threw everything in the game but could not find the net till the end of the first half.
Sportive back from recess, changed their pattern of play and brought on Fuseini Nuhu for Eben Gyau as this paid off well for them when substitute Nuhu centred the ball for Mark Adu Amofa to score the only goal of the match in the 55th minute.
Disaster however struck Bofoakwa when their inside left, Reuben Senya was shown the red card for a second bookable offence in the 75th minute.
Sportive failed to capitalise on the numerical strength of the visitors to score any more goals as Bofoakwa defence managed to hold them at bay.
Adu Amofa of Sportive was adjudged the best player of the match that was efficiently handled by FIFA Referee Vivienne Aggor of Accra.
