Tema Real Sportive made sure of securing the maximum three points at the expense of visiting Gamba All Blacks when they beat them 2-0 in their GT Onetouch Premier League match at the Tema Sports Stadium on Sunday.
Ironically it was All Blacks who made the first attempt at goal but Ishmael Yartey who had a golden opportunity to score in the 10th minute, but shot the ball into the waiting hands of goalkeeper James Nanor of Sportive.
After the refreshing start, All Blacks surprisingly recoiled into their shells and allowed their opponents to dominate play, but poor shooting upfront by Sportive robbed them of any goals with Hamza Abdulai being the worst offender.
Hamza, however, atoned for his earlier misses when he netted both goals for Sportive in the 55th and 84th minutes to clinch the convincing victory for his side.
All Black threw after the goals threw everything into the game in a bid to fetch a face-saving goal but the defenders of Sportive pivoted around Yunis Kamil, Seidu Yahaya and Sam Hanson thwarted all their efforts at goal.
Nuhu Alhassan nearly sealed the doom of All Blacks with the third goal in the 89th minute but fumbled in front of goal.
