Visiting Tema Youth came from behind to hold Tudu Mighty Jets to a 2-2 draw in their Week 11 Glo Premier League encounter on Saturday at the Accra Sports Stadium.Peace FM was there.

Mighty Jets gave off a 2-1 lead at half time as they allowed Tema Youth to draw even through substitute Hamza Abdulai from the spot to quash their hopes of their third win in the premiership.

The balanced game saw the two sides display their attacking prowess in the first half that saw beautiful three goals with both goalkeepers at fault.

As early as the 12th minute, Mighty Jets were in the lead through midfielder Benjamin Agbeko, who delivered a thunderbolt that zoomed straight into the net after Tamimu Muntari set him up.

The lead lasted for just three minutes before the visitors restored parity when striker Benjamin Terry fired an angled shot which kissed the upright before rolling into the net with Mighty Jets goalie Shaibu Issahaku completely stranded in his tracks.

On 25 minutes, the hosts went up again through Kofi Owusu whose curling shot from the edge of the penalty area caught Tema Youth goalie Kofi Mensah out of sorts to the chagrin of the few spectators and officials if his club.

Both teams lifted up their game in the second half but it was Tema Youth who controlled the game with their delightful man-to man passes and finally smiled after being rewarded a penalty on 68 minutes after Francis Narh was fouled by veteran defender Daniel Coleman in the vital area.

The penalty kick was beautifully converted by Abdulai to earn his side a vital away point in the game.

After the equaliser, Mighty Jets pressurized the visitors’ defence in the closing stages but their efforts remained fruitless till the final whistle.
