Accra, Oct 12, GNA - The Ghana Judo Association (GJA) is to embark on an outreach programme aimed at encouraging people from all walks of life to show interesting the sport.
The association as part of it outreach programme has put in place a two-week training course for coaches from the ten regions of the country.
The course, which is to enable the coaches whip up the enthusiasm of the youth in the sport as well as hunt and groom potential judo talents across the country is scheduled to kick start on October 18 to October 30 at the Sports Hall of the Accra Sports Stadium. According to Mr Chas Latthbridge, General Secretary of GJA, eight coaches, all senior Black belt Judokas would be participating in the two-week programme.
Coach Joseph Nii Dodoo, national Judo coach who recently returned from Japan after undertaking a coaching course will be the course instructor.
