15 Injured In Political Clash

b About 15 people suffered cutlass wounds in a clash between supporters of the New Patriotic Party and the National Democratic Congress in the Odododiodioo Constituency in Accra, on Thursday evening.

Property worth million of cedis were also destroyed in the clash at an intersection during separate campaign processions of the two parties. Joseph Nu Amoo, 29, Amartey Tagoe, 26, Ransford Aryeetey, 22, and Shieburani Amin, 43, who were said to have been the worst injured, were rushed to the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital for treatment. The windscreens and windows of three vehicles, two Opel Astra cars, and a Nissan Patrol, were smashed. But for the timely intervention of a reinforcement team from the James Town Police, the worst might have happened.
