The Director of Communications of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Richard Ahiagbah, has declared that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will face a shocking defeat in the Ketu South Constituency of the Volta Region.

Speaking on JoyNews on Wednesday, December 5, 2024, Ahiagbah explained that the NPP has garnered significant support in the constituency and is determined to secure victory in the pending election.

"I have been in Ketu South for the past three months; I have been in and out. What we are doing is canvassing. Just this morning, I took a while longer to come online because there is a long line of people out there in my house asking for T-shirts, asking for campaign paraphernalia to go out there and canvass.

"That is what we are doing. They will have a shock of their lives here in Ketu South because the lies that they have used to fool the people for far too long, the people have woken up to it," he noted.

Richard Ahiagbah further expressed confidence that the people of Ketu South have finally seen through what he called the NDC's deceitful tactics, which had long been used to mislead them.

"They are nowhere to be seen in Ketu South, you don't see them canvassing anywhere. Their hope is somehow, people will vote for them, the lies they have used to fool the people for far too long have been exposed. The people have woken up to it," he added.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has described the Volta Region, specifically Ketu South, as the heart of the party, serving as its core base of support and loyalty.

However, with the NPP's growing momentum in the constituency, it appears it is going to a heated battle between the two parties.
