Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) running mate, expressed confidence in a resounding NPP victory in the Ashanti Region after casting his vote at a polling station in Manhyia South.
NAPO predicted an overwhelming 85% vote share for the NPP in the region.
"I can assure you that the people of the Ashanti region will vote massively for the NPP," he stated. He urged all eligible voters to exercise their civic duty and vote for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as president and all NPP parliamentary candidates.
NAPO described the voting process as calm and orderly, noting a strong voter turnout. He appealed for a peaceful election, urging citizens to refrain from violence or disruptive behaviour. "We don't want any hooliganism, violence, or trouble in the region," he emphasized, commending the security agencies for their efforts in maintaining order.
He concluded by reiterating his optimism for an NPP victory, predicting a majority of parliamentary seats for the party and expressing confidence that Dr. Bawumia will be declared the next president by Sunday.
