Ahead of the pending parliamentary and presidential elections slated for December 7, John Dumelo, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency, has asserted that the party will not resort to court to contest election outcomes.

Addressing attendees at a mini durbar held at La-Bawaleshie, in Accra, on July 18, Dumelo emphasised that the NDC's strategy involves maintaining a strong presence at polling stations rather than pursuing court battles post-election.

“We do not have time on the December 7 or after to go to court. This election, our court will be at the polling station, our lawyers will be at the polling stations, our judges will be at the polling stations," he added.

He asserted that the party is entering the elections with vigilance to secure victory.

“Our votes will be protected and we shall count each ballot for the NDC, be rest assured we are winning this seat” he noted.

John Dumelo's stance comes amid heightened tensions and preparations leading up to the elections, with the NDC aiming to regain ground in Ayawaso West Wuogon, where historical election results have favoured the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
