Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, the Member of Parliament for Ellembele constituency, has stated that the victory of former President John Dramani Mahama will be a one-touch in the 2024 elections.

The former minister expressed optimism about Ghanaians’ desire for change and affirmed that Mahama would be the next president of the republic, regardless of the outcome.

He made the remarks via Zoom in an interview on Rainbow Radio 92.4 FM, UK.

The MP assured the host, Dr. Ren that the elections would be peaceful and without any chaos.

The host had told him that some individuals who had expressed interest in establishing businesses in Ghana were sceptical because they believed the country would be thrown into chaos during the general elections.

But Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah assured investors to trust in the process and that the elections will not be as violent as some have perceived.

“By God’s grace, there will not be chaos. Ghanaians will be so determined that the victory of the NDC and Mahama will be one-touch away and so clear. It will be so clear that all these people who are making noise will run for cover.

"I believe in the people of Ghana, and I believe in their judgment. They know it is time for change, and it is happening,” he added.

When asked about the difference between Mahama and candidate Bawumia, he stated that Mahama is a man of integrity who can be trusted to do what is right.

“But Dr. Bawumia lacks integrity; he is not trustworthy or competent enough to be elected president. Because of this, he only attacks Mahama.

“Dr. Bawumia doesn’t have a message. He doesn’t have a record to understand. He was sold as an economic wizard but check our economic indicators and numbers. He is attacking Mahama because he does not have a message. He lacks integrity, and so Ghanaians don’t listen to him anymore.

"Ghanaians are not interested in lies and propaganda anymore. Mahama is focused on his message and how he will transform the country. Bawumia is the same person who has told us that he is against some of the policies of this government and will do better when elected.

"This is illogical...They are finding it difficult to market him because he has no message. But it is too late for them," he stressed.

To him, the difference between Mahama and Bawumia is that "Mahama has values and a positive mindset. He is experienced. His values are unique; he is someone who possesses modesty, humility, honesty, dedication and believes in Ghana.”
