The immediate Past Vice President of Ghana, Kwesi Amissah-Arthur, has stated a well organised NDC will beat a deceptive NPP in 2020, if they unite and attache a lot of importance to the grassroots and branches of the party. He said the branches are the bedrock of the party.
According to the former Vice President, the NPP government led by President Nana Addo has failed Ghanaians and that there’s the need to work hard in order to take the mantle from them in 2020. The Immediate past Vice President made the statement as part of his ‘Touching base’ visit to observe and monitor the ongoing Branch levels elections in the Obuasi East and West Constituency in the Ashanti Region.
He visited the Obuasi Ahansoeyewodear MA Primary A, MA Primary B, MA JHS A and B and also spoke to party members at the John Taylor Church Branch at Obuasi East. He also monitored the Kunka and Obuasi Zongo branch elections made up of 9 Branches where newly elected members were sworn into office.
Mr Amissah-Arthur congratulated the newly elected Branch Executives and charged them to eschew acts of divisions and work hard to capture political power in the next General Elections.
Kwesi Amissah-Arthur reechoed the need to encourage both winners and losers to unite and work harder than before to ensure the NDC comes to power in 2020
He was accompanied by former Ashanti regional minister Alex Ackon, regional organiser Alhaji Sane.
On his part, the former Ashanti Regional Minister Hon Alex Ackon called for the new and old executives to team up and work diligently by preaching the achievements and ideals of the party to win more members.
