Accept Mahama’s criticisms - Fred Agbenyo tells Akufo-Addo

NDC NDC

NDC’s Deputy Director of International Relations, Fred Agbenyo has advised President Akufo-Addo to be tolerant of views expressed by critics.

Speaking in an interview on ‘Pae Mu Ka’ on Accra base Kingdom FM, the former NDC Deputy Communication Officer indicated that, every Ghanaian has an equal right to express an opinion, and therefore, there is a need for the president to absorb all manner of criticisms from the public.

“This is part of governance, and Ghana is a democratic country, so people must be given the mandate to raise their concerns. The President has to take it easy, be tolerant, and listen to concerns” he emphasized.

Fred Agbenyo stated; “President Mahama is neither a Pastor nor a farmer but a politician, therefore he needs to show his relevance and give alternatives to Ghanaians”.

“His aim and target is to know what is happening in the country and so you don’t expect his to be hiding in his bedroom sleeping and snoring”, he stressed.

“What I can call for, from the President at this point is that the President and his leaders need a big heart, they need to be tolerant, and they should guard anybody” he added.

“If you don’t do it this way, you may end up fighting everybody and eventually you will lose focus and won’t be able to do what is expected of you” he cautioned.
