Ade Coker behind Sam George suspension – Group

Ade Coker Ade Coker

A group calling itself Concerned Youth for John Mahama has warned the Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) to “allow the will of the well-meaning sympathisers of NDC, to hold in the Ningo-Prampram and La Dadekotpon constituencies”.

Their warning comes in the wake of the suspension of the parliamentary candidates for the two constituencies, Sam George Nartey and Nii Amasa Namoale, respectively. A letter signed by the regional executives released this afternoon indicated that the two have been suspended following a disciplinary hearing.

Nii Amasa Namoale was asked to step aside for “granting an interview to the media accusing the regional executives of perpetuating fraud” to the benefit of his contender, while describing the executives as “fraudsters and pickpockets.”

On the other hand, Sam George Nartey was accused of “instigating people against the regional executives.”

However, the group believes Mr Coker is the one behind the suspension of the two politicians and has advised the regional chairman to take a cue from the “state of our biggest opponent, NPP, which is now characterised by confusion and rampant suspension,” so that he desists from actions that will plunge the NDC into chaos to the detriment of the party in the 2016 presidential and parliamentary polls.

ADE COKER AND HIS TEAM CANNOT HOLD THE NDC PARTY TO RANSOM

We CONCERNED YOUTH FOR JM have observed with grave concern some actions and inactions by some notable leadership of the party that is meant to paint a very bad picture of the party as we get ready for 2016 elections.

We see as very unfortunate the suspension of MP and PC of La Dadekotopon, Hon. Nii Amasah Namoale and PC for Ningo Prampram, Hon. Sam George.

We all know the state of our biggest opponent, NPP, which is now characterised by confusion and rampant suspension. It is with a great shock that we have learnt of such a big mistake developing in our party, NDC.

We are not shocked that this unfortunate development is being directed by Mr. Ade Coker, Greater Accra Regional Chairman, who sees himself as the wisest person in the party.

Ade Coker is obviously aggrieved because the delegates rejected his family and friends who he presented for primaries and is doing everything possible to distract our PC's.

We want to point it to him that he cannot impose anyone on the party. We recall when Ade Coker came out to impose Amissah Arthur on us when our grassroots called on Mahama to make Hon. Hannah Serwah Tetteh as his running mate.

We are by this note sounding a strong caution to Mr Ade Coker that he should allow the will of the well-meaning sympathisers of NDC to hold in Ningo Prampram and La Dadekotpon Constituency.

We the youth of the party are making serious commitment to maintain power come 2016 and will not allow anyone destroy our effort out of selfish gains.

Thank you.
