Akosua Asaa Manu, popularly known as Kozie, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for the Adentan constituency in the Greater Accra Region, has dedicated a newly reconstructed bridge in Ashiyie Amanfrom to First Lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo.
The dedication of the bridge, which serves residents of the Adentan constituency, was in appreciation of the First Lady’s support of the project.
Commissioning the bridge on November 25, 2024, Akosua Manu explained that during her visits to the community, she identified the previous bridge as a significant safety hazard for residents.
Determined to resolve the issue, she sought help from various stakeholders, including the First Lady, to facilitate the reconstruction.
“The First Lady supported me when I approached her and explained that the bridge was in terrible condition. It was an eyesore, and I promised the community that I would fix it. The first day I saw it, I tried to walk on it myself and couldn’t. Yet children were crossing it to go to school,” she said.
In addition to the bridge, Akosua Manu has spearheaded several developmental projects in the Adentan constituency. These include road construction projects, with the most recent being the commissioning of a 2.7-kilometer Container-Lakeside Road.
