The Member of Parliament for Afram Plains North Constituency, Betty Nana Efua Krosbi Mensah, has stated that she is confident in retaining her seat in the upcoming December polls.

However, her constituents have expressed a different perspective as they have highlighted issues such as poor roads and a lack of basic amenities that may influence their voting decisions.

Speaking on GhanaWeb's Campaign Trail, a constituent said, "This year I won't vote. It's difficult to access healthcare due to the poor road conditions in our area. If improvements are made, then I will consider voting."

Another constituent mentioned, "Our area is isolated, and the pontoon service is unreliable. If they can't fix the roads, they should at least build a bridge for us."

Despite these concerns, the MP emphasised that she has been working diligently to address the needs of her constituents.

She noted her advocacy for more teachers in the area to tackle the education challenges, stating, "We have a shortage of over 500 teachers, so education is a major issue here. Developing our human resources will benefit the community."
