Speaking after the election, Mr Peter Light Koomson, Central Regional Secretary of the party, urged the members to work hard to enable the NDC to regain power in the 2008 general election.

He stated that the people had lost confidence and trust in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) due to its harsh economic policies. The Regional Secretary said the margins the NDC won in the two bye-elections at Asewase and Odododiodoo constituencies recently were indications that the party could return to power if they worked hard. Mr Koomson advised the supporters not to allow the NPP to entice them with money but to remain united to enable the NDC to emerge victorious. Mr Donkoh called for cooperation between the executives and supporters to attract more people to the NDC.

He appealed to the leaders of the party to organise seminars and workshop for the members to learn campaign strategies to attract more supporters. 14 Sept 05
